WASHINGTON – Today, Congressional Golden Dome Caucus Co-Chairs, U.S. Representatives Dale Strong (AL-05) and Jeff Crank (CO-05) released the following statement after the Senate’s unanimous confirmation of Gen. Michael A. Guetlein to lead the Department of Defense’s Golden Dome project:
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Dale Strong, member of the Appropriations Committee, voted last night in support of H.R. 4016, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2026.
WASHINGTON —This August, Congressman Dale W. Strong will host a 50th anniversary pinning ceremony for Vietnam War veterans who live in Alabama’s Fifth Congressional District. The event will honor those who served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces between November 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975.

ABOUT DALE
Congressman Dale Strong has deep family roots in North Alabama. A graduate of Sparkman High School, Dale holds a bachelor’s degree from Athens State University and an EMT license from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
No stranger to hard work, Dale grew up working at his father’s country store. Dale’s father, Horace, launched a tour bus business taking North Alabama school and church groups on charter trips across the country. Working alongside his father, Dale’s efforts helped put him, his brother and sister through college.
