January 11, 2023

For Immediate Release:  January 11, 2023

WASHINGTON— During the first week of the 118th Congress, Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) is keeping Congressional promises through legislative action.

In the past, Representative Strong has highlighted the importance of rescinding the IRS funding passed by the Biden Administration, protecting the unborn, and making Congress work for the American people.

The “Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act,” which Strong co-sponsored, repeals $45B included in the Inflation Reduction Act to add 87,000 new IRS agents.

The “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act” which Strong also co-sponsored will ensure that newborns who have survived an abortion attempt are given the same level of medical care as other newborn babies.

Congressman Strong is taking an active role in making Congress work for the American people. He voted in favor of the House Rules package, which reopened the Capitol to the public and will ensure Members of Congress are present and accountable to the people they represent.

Additionally, with overwhelming bipartisan support, the house established a Select Committee on Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. The new Committee will advance policy to help the United States maintain a competitive advantage over the Chinese Communist Party.

“As your Congressman, I am committed to fighting for life and protecting Americans from a burdensome federal government. I’m honored to begin my term in Congress with these votes and look forward to supporting legislation that protects Alabama’s conservative values,” says Congressman Dale Strong.
