Strong nominates 30 North Alabama students to U.S. service academies

WASHINGTON — Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) announced his nomination of 30 students across North Alabama to United States service academies.
Prior to receiving a U.S. service academy nomination through Congressman Strong, candidates must meet certain academic, leadership, and character standards. Congressman Strong’s inaugural nomination slate consists of public, private, specialty, and homeschooled student leaders.
“I applaud these young men and women for their willingness to lead the next generation of our nation’s Armed Forces,” said Congressman Strong. “As foreign adversaries across the globe threaten our national security, patriotic student leaders across North Alabama are answering the call to service. It is my honor to nominate these incredible students to attend our prestigious U.S. service academies, and I know they will represent the Tennessee Valley with dignity.”
