Additional Lanes SR-2 (U.S. 72) from County Line Road to Providence Main Road

This project will support a project to add a total of 6 additional lanes of through-lane roadway on SR-2 from County Line Road to Providence Main Road, which would assist in alleviating congestion throughout the community.
Athens Line Road at Highway 72 Safety Access
$700,000
This project will allow for widening and additional turn lanes at the intersection of Line Road and U.S. Highway 72, which would improve the safety and traffic flow at this intersection – which has been identified as a high-crash location with multiple accidents annually.
Huntsville Northern Bypass Project
$8,299,776.80
This project will allow the City of Huntsville to construct 3.5 miles of a new four-lane divided highway and .67 miles of roadway improvements along North Memorial Parkway (U.S. Hwy 231). This project would assist in the completion of a 10-mile limited access highway (SR 255) between Interstate 565 and Memorial Parkway (U.S. Hwy 231) which greatly impacts the traffic congestion throughout the City for commuter and freight traffic.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Vehicles

This project will allow the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office to acquire 9 public safety vehicles to replace current vehicles which are reaching the end of their operational life. This will ensure the safety of sheriff’s deputies and their ability to respond to the needs across their community.
Limestone County Bethel Road Widening and Resurfacing

This project will allow for the widening and resurfacing of Bethel Road between Mooresville Road and Alabama Highway 251 to improve the safe flow of increased traffic on this major west-to-east collector route in northeast Limestone County.
Limestone County Public Safety Equipment Modernization
$500,000
This project will allow Limestone County to purchase and install next-generation P25 radios to enable the sheriff’s and fire departments to communicate both within their respective departments and across the state in the event of natural disasters or in response to other public emergencies.
Madison County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Vehicles
$1,020,000
This project will allow the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to acquire and outfit 15 patrol vehicles to replace current vehicles which are reaching the end of their operational life. This will ensure that the Sheriff’s Office is able to adequately respond to evolving public safety needs across the County.
Madison County Public Safety Camera Upgrades

This project will allow the Huntsville/Madison County Jail to upgrade security cameras which are needed to ensure the safety of both inmates and officers and, moreover, to enhance public safety of the surrounding community.
Madison County Public Safety Equipment

This project will allow the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to acquire unmanned aerial vehicles to deploy in high-risk situations including natural disasters. The project will enhance the department’s ability to safely respond to the needs of the community.
Morgan County Public Safety Vehicles

This project will allow the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office to purchase and outfit 4 patrol vehicles to replace current vehicles which are nearing the end of their operational life. This will ensure the safety of the surrounding community.

This project will allow the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office to purchase public safety equipment including body-worn cameras, ballistic vests, and computers.
Pryor Field Regional Airport Southeast Taxiway Enhancements

This project will allow the Pryor Field Regional Airport to make improvements to the Southeast Taxiway to include the construction of 1,100 linear feet of concrete.
City of Priceville Sanitary Sewer Project

This project will allow the City of Priceville to design and construct a new sewer pump station and gravity main to replace two pump stations and associated force main.
City of Scottsboro Public Safety Vehicles

This project will allow the City of Scottsboro to acquire 5 patrol units to replace current vehicles which are nearing the end of their operational life. This will ensure the safety of officers and their ability to respond to the needs across their community.
