WASHINGTON — Today, Representative Dale Strong (AL-05) announced the appointments of 22 students from Alabama’s Fifth Congressional District to attend U.S. service academies. 

The Fifth District tied fourth nationally for the total number of accepted West Point candidates from a single congressional district and second in the Southeast region.

The package provides $69 billion in funding for the Department of Homeland Security’s border security mission.

WASHINGTON— Congressman Dale Strong’s legislation, the Strategic Homeland Intelligence and Enforcement Legislation to Defend (SHIELD) Against the CCP Act is gaining nationwide support. This week, the legislation was endorsed by the Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA), the National Narcotic Officers' Associations' Coalition (NNOAC), and the National Fusion Center Association (NFCA).

WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Dale W. Strong (R-AL), alongside his colleagues Congressmen David Kustoff (R-TN) and Tracey Mann (R-KS), introduced the Winter Canola Study Act. This legislation would direct the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA) to study the gap in crop insurance coverage for double-crop grown winter oilseeds, such as canola.
