WASHINGTON — In his first 100 days in office, Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) hit the ground running for the people of the Fifth Congressional District.

WASHINGTON — Congressman Dale Strong (AL-05) and Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) have appointed Huntsville Attorney Mark McDaniel as their Aerospace and Science Advisor for the 118th Congress.

Mark McDaniel has served on the NASA Advisory Council to five NASA Administrators: Daniel Golden, Sean O’Keefe, Michael Griffin, Jim Bridenstine, and Bill Nelson. The NASA Advisory Council is the Nation's highest civilian advisory board for NASA, and Mr. McDaniel has served for more than two decades.

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) joined several colleagues to introduce H.J.Res.44 to stop the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms’ (ATF) rule expanding enforcement over pistol braces. 

In January, ATF released a rule to reclassify millions of commonly owned pistols with stabilizing braces as short-barreled rifles and shotguns under the National Firearms Act of 1934.

WASHINGTON — In his first speech on the House floor, Congressman Dale Strong (AL-05) called for the Biden Administration to resume building the wall along the Southern Border. Congressman Strong recently traveled to the border with members of the House Committee on Homeland Security to see the crisis firsthand. The trip strengthened Congressman Strong’s position on immigration and border security.

HASC is charged with the crucial task of improving national security—which is not only critical for our country but also our partners and allies around the world.

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) was nominated by the House Steering Committee to serve on the House Committee on Homeland Security for the 118th Congress. 

The Committee on Homeland Security provides congressional oversight of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), whose primary mission is to secure our nation. This includes border protection, intelligence and counterterrorism, cyber security, emergency preparedness, and transportation security.

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) was nominated by the House Steering Committee to serve on the House Armed Services Committee for the 118th Congress. 
 
The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) is responsible for the authorization of funding and oversight of the Department of Defense. The Conference is expected to formally ratify the Steering Committee’s recommendation next week.

WASHINGTON — During the first week of the 118th Congress, Congressman Dale W. Strong (AL-05) is keeping Congressional promises through legislative action. 

In the past, Representative Strong has highlighted the importance of rescinding the IRS funding passed by the Biden Administration, protecting the unborn, and making Congress work for the American people. 

The “Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act,” which Strong co-sponsored, repeals $45B included in the Inflation Reduction Act to add 87,000 new IRS agents.
