WASHINGTON — The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5860, legislation to extend funding for the federal government for 45 days by a vote of 335-91. Rep. Dale Strong voted in favor of H.R. 5860 and released the following statement.
“After seeing the plan to finish our work on the remaining conservative appropriations bills, I supported extending funding for 45 days to ensure our troops are paid and our national security is protected.

Madison resident Raymond Daniels, Jr., 86, filed for an extension on his 2020 tax return due to the illness of his now-deceased wife, Judith. Numerous ambulance calls to the Daniels residence were made in the months prior to her passing, one of which was accompanied by Congressman Strong in his capacity as a licensed emergency medical technician (EMT).

“I wasn’t kidding when I said this is far from over. I asked Chairman Rogers to hold a hearing, and now it’s time for these leaders to answer questions under oath. The findings of the robust basing process were completely ignored when the fifth best location in Colorado was chosen to host the Space Command headquarters.”
